넷플릭스가 2026년 8월 라인업을 확정했다. 장르 팬들을 위한 한여름 대작의 향연이다. 화제의 중심에는 Outer Banks가 있다. 넷플릭스가 마지막 시즌으로 예고한 시즌 5는 8월 20일 공개되며, 포그들은 마지막 보물찾기에 나선다. 이 밖에도 공포물과 프랜차이즈 정주행작, 새로운 오리지널 콘텐츠가 대거 추가된다.
향수를 자극하는 작품들은 8월 1일부터 대거 공개된다. Fast & Furious 시리즈 첫 7편이 한꺼번에 추가되며, Child’s Play 프랜차이즈 대부분의 작품과 1990년대를 대표하는 Clueless, 제이크 질렌할 주연의 Nightcrawler, 키아누 리브스의 스릴러 Speed도 함께 선보인다. 공포 라인업도 이어진다. 8월 3일에는 Five Nights at Freddy‘s 2, 8월 15일에는 블레이크 라이블리 주연의 상어 스릴러 The Shallows, 8월 24일에는 살인 인형 리부트작 M3GAN이 공개된다.
오리지널 콘텐츠 중에서는 돌아오는 시리즈가 특히 풍성하다. My Life With the Walter Boys 시즌 3가 8월 6일 공개되고, 8월 13일에는 Tires Season 3, 8월 19일에는 Love Is Blind: UK Season 3, 8월 20일에는 Outer Banks가 뒤를 잇는다. 이달 말에는 Leanne, Graveyard and Sheriff Labrador의 새 시즌도 공개된다. 8월 23일에는 뱀파이어 드라마 Talamasca: The Secret Order가 첫선을 보이며, Ricky Gervais와 Kelsey Cook 등을 내세운 스탠드업 스페셜도 추가된다.
서비스 종료작 가운데서는 Sony의 Venom: The Last Dance가 8월 25일, Disney의 클래식 시트콤 Home Improvement가 8월 1일 떠나는 것이 눈에 띈다. AMC 작품인 Fear the Walking Dead와 A Discovery of Witches는 계약이 갱신되지 않는 한 8월 19일 서비스 종료 예정이다.
